Not only are the so-called RFID-Chips parts of the biometric e-pass, but, in future, they will automatize accounting processes in stores and supermarkets as well as simplify processes in logistics.

RFID signifies Radio Frequency Identification and means small tags that are readout by electro-magentic induction. The “scanner” contactlessly produces electricity in the inductor of the tags, which then sends the saved data.
RFID technologies is promoted especially by logistics and retail trade. But also in everday life, there are purposes for RFID: pets can be marked and clearly related to their owner, ski tickets enable easy access to winter pleasures and thanks to the Oyster Card, the London Rush Hour becomes more tolerable.

But besides several applications of RFID, even experts have numerous doubts about the security and anonymity of transmitted data.
